If you are looking to choose CourseBit as your Moodle consultant, here are some details on what you can expect the experience to be like.
We follow Moodle standards in every process, and in every change. An unfortunate mistake many developers make is changing the core of Moodle, causing future upgrades and maintenance to fail. At CourseBit, we create plugins by Moodle standards, and make sure the entire process will keep your site stable.
We pride ourselves in solid communication. When we left our day jobs to start CourseBit, we jotted down items we wanted to improve on from our previous employers. A top concern was communication. We believe no one should be left guessing the status of their project. We hold meetings at set intervals with our clients to show our progress, answer questions, and keep everyone on the same page. We also use JIRA for project management, and grant access to our clients so they can monitor the progress of each task.
For online meetings, we use WebEx. Before a project starts, we have an “initial meeting” to ensure everyone is on the same page. We emphasize this so our clients can rest assured their concerns will be addressed. Bring your questions and a notepad as we discuss the project in detail! We understand that sometimes ideas are hard to type. Schedule meetings with your project manager or entire development team. If a mockup is needed, we use MockFlow to visual ideas and designs.
We’re willing to make a commitment! At CourseBit, we establish solid relationships with our clients. We are here for you now, and down the road. Your current projects may need updating. Your ideas may expand. When the time comes, we will be ready to help.
All plugins or themes that we develop are available to you via private Bitbucket Git repositories. This will allow you to see real-time updates of development progress if you so wish. Not sure what that means? No worries, we handle the techie side of things!
